Oil rig for conventional oil drilling to be set up in Biscathorpe, in the Lincolnshire Wolds

I went to see for myself the rare chalk stream that runs through Biscathorpe

'Chalk streams are unique habitats and host a variety of rare and unusual wildlife' from the pamphlet 'Helping Lincolnshire's Chalk Streams Flow'. The Lincolnshire County Council is one of the sponsors for 'The Lincolnshire Chalk Streams Project' .
The Lincolnshire County Council and the Environmental Agency are both regulators of the oil industry and were present at the public meeting - see cartoon below - which I attended on the 18th July 2018.
The oil company Egdon Resources were not present at the public meeting.
In the pamphlet from the meeting created by the Environment Agency it states that they as an agency  'will not allow any oil or gas drilling that could pollute drinking water'.
But what about the chalk stream ???
